out of the bed
we're frustrated by the lack of forward movement- and that's been the story every time we've been guests here. but we did get isaiah out of the bed for the first time this evening. more on particulars on his condition later- but here's how he's looking in the chair....
believe me- i took a ton of pictures- this is the most smile i can get out of him. he does smile more- but rarely on demand.

I'm SO happy to see the little man! Thanks so much for sharing! Glad to hear he made it out of bed. I'll go to bed with a smile on my face tonight (-: I pray that progress continues. The 5 of you take care. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
Love

Ohmygosh! It looks like little Isaiah could be thinking something like, "For pete's sakes - just take the picture, get all this junk off of me, and get me home! I'm soooo ready!!!"
So glad to see him up in a chair! Thanks so much for sharing this photo - it says a million words!
Love, Cecilia
One more step in the right direction - but Isaiah does not seem too excited about it yet! We don't blame you for being impatient - but maybe "The sun'll come out tomorrow," - God willing! Thanks for the picture - we love you!GGV
It is never anything but grand to see that boy.
I'm thinking train thoughts and smiles for him.

What a sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet picture. I just stopped by to check in, cuz i was think about y'all. Honestly, your posts are more than an update for me... they seem to be a "how-to" on dealing with life's challenges. You are each an inspiration.
Blessings to you.
Peace,

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then both this picture AND all the words used to express the heart and soul of Isaiah and family and friends are gifts of great value. My imagination wouldnt permit me to see Isaiah in a chair, sitting up with a new hair cut, smile or no. Now, with photo and words of encouragement, I CAN EVEN imagine him running down the corridors again. Thanks to all who are creating a treasury of words and photos and imaginings...beauty really...that may yet save the world. ron
