saturday morning

another long night in the ICU- but nothing too crazy going on. we are definitely seeing signs of neurological improvement, and are starting to be able to focus a little less on figuring out whether or not he's going to wake up and be the same kid and a little more on getting the rest of his systems in order. we still don't know what, if any, effects are going to remain with us since the events of wednesday evening- it's possible there will be none, and it's possible there will be a bunch. unfortunately, i think we're a long way from finding out, since he's still pretty sick.

joey is still hanging out in holly with nikki, ryan, olivia and sophia- he has been enjoying playing in the snow....

Dear Ones! We are surely aware that there are always going to be "ifs" to deal with with our little Isaiah! What he has shown us time and time again is that he will fight with you and the whole medical team to right the wrongs and come out swinging. We pray only that there will be more positives than negatives and more hopeful signs than new worries to deal with. We hope and pray that you parents are taking care of yourselves knowing that an enormous support team is holding up the rear! So glad that Joey has snow to play in, cousins to romp with and lots of love around to make this episode in his life as painless as possible. We love you all! GGV

Jen and Joe,
This is Brad and Nancy - Nikki and Ryan's old next door neighbours up in Canada. Unbeknownst to you, we've been keeping an eye on Isaiah since last June. So you know, our friends and family are all praying for Isaiah and your family all the way up in Canada! Take care of yourselves and Isaiah. Brad & Nancy Achtenberg
