Jen Joe Joey & Isaiah

monday morning

I was off duty last night, Joe on. Isaiah had a relatively quiet night and has been sleeping, with some help from his friends, since 1 a.m. Cardiology and Neurosurgery finally came together this morning to chart a course. He will be taken to cat scan today and have dye injected into his i.v.s that will travel throughout the "plumbing". It seems we're down to two, his brain bleed or his heart plumbing, that are causing his problems. The ICU team will still be on the lookout for other causes, such as infections of his various systems. We will let you as we find out more from the cat scan. In the meantime, we're glad: for his sleep, Joey's independence, wireless internet, caffeine and for your beautiful, beautiful words.

much love,
jen

I'm glad a couple of specialists have finally come together with a game plan. Anxiously waiting the results from the CT Scan. May the day be uneventful in a good way.
Peace, love and strength.

I'm glad we seem to have a "game plan". Awaitng anxiously for the CAT scan results. We cannot amagine the stress, highs, lows and fatigue the consume your days. We await patiently for any news from the day. Your words inspire us and also sadden us with your frustrations. We still hurt when our children hurt even though they are grown up but we also gain strength from you two. We are here to help in any way we can even if it is just a phone call. Dad A.

Jen - you sound a bit more rested, thanks be to God. It is always a good feeling "to have a plan" and we pray that somewhere within that plan there is an answer - positive action - and hopeful results! We love you! GGV

Jen and Joe,
It must seem like you have been in Chicago forever when it was really less than a week ago that you began this journey; this journey that has taken a very different route that what you were hoping or expecting. I pray that in the midst of this unexpected and difficult journey that God would give you both peace and strength to endure all the twists and turns. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Blessings,
Vicki (Nyhof)

Isaiah and family,
I've been following your blog since the article in Faith Grand Rapids magazine. I'm the one who emailed the diocesan office and they directed me to the blog - thanks for the postings. As you can expect, I'll continue to follow your progress - each and every hurdle and yippee!!...and continue to keep you all in my daily prayers.
